Women Thrive Here
While women around the world are underrepresented in the workplace and particularly in management, VRG embraces their contributions. Our COO/CFO, Verena Martin, is a strong and experienced leader who runs the company with vision, passion and determination. She is extremely well respected within the organization and the community.
Women thrive throughout this organization. Currently 50% of our management team is female and 53% of our workforce is female. No gender pay gap has ever existed here and never will.
Age Diversity Embraced
From Day 1 we have believed that age diversity in the workplace can improve organizational performance, reduce employee turnover and drive innovation. Our Baby Boomers and Gen Xers, who represent 65% of our workforce, bring valued experience needed to achieve our growth strategy while our Millennials and iGen centennials continually bring welcomed fresh new ideas.
VRG has very intentionally built a strong multi-cultural team and our experts communicate with customers and suppliers in their native tongue. On any given day you will hear conversations in German, Spanish, French, Romanian, Serbo-Croatian and, of course, English. This enables us to build meaningful and long-term relationships with our customers and suppliers located in every corner of the world.
Not only are we committed to our employees and our customers but also to those in need. We believe that we get much more from life when we help others. VRG’s commitment to giving makes every one of us grateful to work and thrive in a company that cares.
Did you know that 10% of the world lives without access to clean water? VRG supports charity: water, an unstoppable organization that works to bring clean water to the 663 million people in isolated rural areas of the world. Most take it for granted but access to clean water means education, income and health – especially to women and children.
With CEO Ruben Gutierrez’s Latin American roots, Project Eden Adelante is also near and dear to our hearts. This Honduras based organization works to alleviate malnutrition and educate children in a corner of the world that suffers from a 60% poverty rate.
